  1. Find Hericium species of choice (H. coralloides shown below)
  2. Rinse and chop the mushroom.
  3. Saute chopped onion in butter, add mushroom and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Season mixture, add boiled or steamed rice, fry a couple of minutes and serve!

Is hericium Coralloides edible?

Hericium coralloides is a saprotrophic fungus, commonly known as the coral tooth fungus. It grows on dead hardwood trees. The species is edible and good when young, but as it ages the branches and hanging spines become brittle and turn a light shade of yellowish brown.
