The Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium’s lone polar bear is moving to Kansas City. Bam Bam, who was born in Omaha in November 1987, will leave Omaha’s 30,000-gallon polar bear tank by the end of April. Her move will give her a buddy to live with and free up space in Durham Bear Canyon for a new project.

The centerpiece of Alaskan Adventure is an 18-foot-high humpback whale which has water trailing from its extended fins. A whale’s tail is a separate sculpture and is 16 feet wide and eight feet tall with water flowing from the edge as it appears to submerge for a deep dive.

What can you do at Winter Zoo Camp?
